We hope to meet again on the 30th September for a fellowship lunch, directly after the morning service. We set up some tables in our fellowship area and we have one simple instruction; bring some for yourself and a little extra!
To visitors, please feel most welcome, there is always plenty to go round and usually a good variety of food...especially sweet things! Our Bible study returns this Friday (14th) after the summer break, resuming where we left off our study in Isaiah, on the subject, 'Israel's Calling.'
We'll meet in the church on Long Walk Road at 7:30pm. The setting is relaxed, informal and and open forum for discussion. Tea, coffee and some 'fine pieces' will be served after. All are welcome, whatever your level of Bible knowledge, and it is a great way to dig further into God's Word. A lovely afternoon was had by all as we met for our yearly outing at Haddo House. The young ones ran around in the beautiful open spaces while the older ones chatted, before sitting down to a picnic together. We were again blessed with great weather for which we were thankful. The customary game of rounders stretched some unused muscles and provided some moments of hilarity! We then closed by singing the well loved words of Psalm 23 and giving thanks for the day we enjoyed.
If there is a benefit to being small in number, it is that a real family atmosphere is fostered among our folk. We long for more to worship with us and discover Jesus, yet we rejoice that we have been able to develop lasting friendship and fellowship. "Then they that feared the LORD spoke often one to another, and the LORD hearkened..." Malachi 3:16 |
